St. John Fisher Golf Team Receives Numerous National and Regional Honors

Two-time Empire 8 Player of the Year Scott Harris Jr. and St. John Fisher Head Coach Bob Simms received national honors at the conclusion of the NCAA Division III Golf Championship.

Harris claimed the first national title in the school's Division III history, winning  the individual competition at the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship to garner the Arnold Palmer Award. He was named the Jack Nicklaus Award winner as the Division III Player of the Year.

Simms was named the NCAA Division III Golf Coach of the Year and received Mid-Atlantic Region Coach of the Year honors for the second consecutive season.

Joining Harris on the All-American team were Tom Muto Jr. (second team) and Bobby McCartney (third team). All three players were first-team all-conference players and were named to the Mid-Atlantic All-Region team.
