RIT Volleyball Raises $1,500 for Breast Cancer Research October 1, 2008 Close to 500 fans were in attendance to support the Tigers with nearly everyone donning either a pink shirt, pink hair or pink ribbons. Over 100 women purchased a lock of So. Cap¹s signature pink hair extensions added to their own locks for a $10 donation put in by stylists from Oggi Domani, a salon in Pittsford. Several fans purchased pink t-shirts and ribbons as well. The Tigers sported special pink jerseys for the evening. Local student-athletes from Greece Athena and Attica High School were in attendance. Special raffle prizes were drawn between games, with Barnes and Noble at Park Point, Bill Gray's, RIT Alumni Relations, RIT Hockey and the American Cancer Society providing great prizes. There was also a barbeque sponsored by RIT SAAC and the RIT Tiger Den held before the contest. SUNY Cortland won the first game, 25-23, before RIT won two straight games, 25-22 and 25-23, before the Red Dragons took game four, 25-13 and 15-11.
