Utica Finishes Third at Hamilton Invitational

The Utica College men and women cross country teams competed at the Hamilton College Invitational Saturday in Clinton, NY. The men’s squad placed third out of nine teams and the Pioneers were the top Empire 8 finisher.

For the men, junior Brian Stevens, who is the reigning UC Male Athlete of the Week, finished in fifth place, out of 99 runners, with a time of 27:27. He has been the top male finisher for Utica at all five races this season, including three top 12 finishes. Freshmen Morgan Payne was right behind Stevens, finishing in ninth place with a final time of 27:42. Geoffrey Hale finished in 17th place and Hunter Padgett came in 19th place for UC.
