Ithaca Women's Golf Second at Nazareth Invitational

Rochester, N.Y. - The Ithaca women's golf team finished second in a field of five teams at the Nazareth Invitational, which concluded Monday at Irondequoit Country Club. Ithaca's second round score of 379 on the difficult layout left the Bombers with a two-day total of 729, which only trailed Allegheny.

Ithaca's Monday scoring was led by sophomore Jackie Young (Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake/Burnt Hills) who posted a score of 84 with scores of 42 on each nine. Freshman Amanda Failla (Farmington/Unionville, Conn.) also broke 90 with a score of 88 Monday. Failla finished the tournament with a two-day score of 172, while Young was two strokes back of Failla at 174.

Ithaca finished ahead of two other Empire 8 teams, St. John Fisher and Nazareth, as well as frequent opponent William Smith. This event concludes Ithaca's fall season.
