ITHACA, N.Y. – After improving its Atlantic-Region ranking to fifth on Tuesday, the Bomber men’s cross country team received a 43rd-place raking in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches of America national poll announced Wednesday. This is the first time this season the men’s squad has been nationally ranked.

Ithaca most recently raced to an eighth-place finish out of 31 competing teams on Saturday at the Inter-Regional Rumble hosted by Oberlin. Graduate student William Way (Cheltenham/Glenside, Pa.) ran to a 17th-place finish on the eight-kilometer course finishing in 25 minutes, 34.80 seconds to lead the Bombers. Way, who ran a career-best time, was named Empire 8 Runner of the Week with the performance.
