ROCHESTER, NY – Ithaca College will host the Empire 8 volleyball conference’s second of two weekends of play on Friday and Saturday. All nine teams will complete round robin play with the final four teams advancing to the Empire 8 Volleyball Championship on Saturday, Nov. 6 at the site of the highest seed.

Rochester Institute of Technology enters the weekend as the only undefeated team and will face two 3-1 teams (Nazareth College on Friday and Elmira College on Saturday) as well as 2-2 St. John Fisher College, which defeated in the Tigers in a non-conference match last week. The Tigers also meet Hartwick College on Friday.
Host Ithaca faces Hartwick and St. John Fisher on Friday and looks for its first Empire 8 win over three-time defending champion Stevens Institute of Technology on Saturday in addition to playing Alfred University.
Elmira, which handed Stevens its first Empire 8 loss ever during the first conference weekend, will play St. John Fisher and Utica College on Friday and then face RIT and Nazareth back-to-back on Saturday.
Nazareth plays RIT and Stevens back-to-back on Friday before facing Utica and the Soaring Eagles on Saturday.
Stevens enters the weekend 24-4 and riding a 12-match winning streak, but is currently sitting outside of the top four spots in the conference standings.
