Ithaca Men's Swimming Defeats Division II Le Moyne

Syracuse, N.Y. – The Ithaca men's swimming & diving team began its season with a 150.5-83.5 dual-meet victory at Division II Le Moyne Saturday afternoon. Junior Antoine Connors (Spartanburg/Spartanburg, S.C.) won two sprint freestyle events and sophomore diver Martin Brown (McLean/McLean, Va.) won both diving events to lead the Ithaca effort. Connors touched first in the 50-yard freestyle in 22.12 seconds and the 100-yard freestyle in 48.44 seconds. He was also a part of Ithaca's victorious 400-yard freestyle relay team that closed the meet with a first-place finish in 3:17.76. The other members of that winning relay were sophomore Jake Robbins (Fairport/Fairport), junior Jeff Rapp (Liverpool/Liverpool) and senior Steve Croucher (Dallastown Area/York, Pa.). Brown won the 3-meter diving event in 228.52 and the 1-meter diving competition in 164.80. Freshman Cheffy Thomas (Carmel/Carmel, Ind.) and freshman Connor White (Fox Lane/Pound Ridge) earned individual event victories in their debut college meet. Thomas won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:02.24 and White won the 100-yard butterfly in 54.46 seconds. Sophomore Chris Cadwell (C.W. Baker/Baldwinsville) also earned an event victory, winning the 200-yard freestyle in 1:50.76. Complete Meet Results
