St. John Fisher Volleyball Completes Sweep at Oneonta Invitational
The St. John Fisher College volleyball team earned consecutive wins in day two of play at the Oneonta State Invitational to complete a 4-0 weekend of play.
In this morning's first match, a 3-1 win over Skidmore, Fisher dropped the first game 25-22, but turned it around to win the next three games 25-22, 25-18, 25-21. Sydney Kandefer and Becca Smith each tallied 13 kills, while newcomer Rachael Kline chipped in with 12. Amy Street nabbed 47 assists. Six Cardinals recorded double-digit digs in the match, with Smith leading the way with 25.
In the final match of the Invitational, the Cardinals cruised to a 3-0 win over MCLA, with game scores of 25-19, 25-9, and 25-22. Kandefer recorded 13 kills and added four service aces, while Street chimed in with 37 assists. Newcomers Stephanie Schreiber also added 10 kills, while Smith picked up 20 digs.
