Ithaca Men's Cross Country Improves Two Spots to Rank Sixth Regionally
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Bomber men’s cross country team improved its Atlantic Region poll ranking to sixth announced Tuesday by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches of America. Ithaca has been ranked for four consecutive weeks, including a rank of eighth a week ago.
The team raced to a fourth-place finish in the Brown bracket of the 37th Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University on Friday. Graduate Student William Way (Cheltenham/Glenside, Pa.) earned Empire 8 Runner of the Week nods after finishing in 10th place with a time of 25 minutes, 35 seconds on the eight-kilometer course. In placing fourth out of the 40 teams competing, the Bombers finished behind three NCAA Division I teams.
Ithaca is the only Empire 8 team regionally ranked.
