ROCHESTER, NY - Nazareth's men's and women's swimming and diving teams participated Tuesday in the Ted Mullin Hour of Power from 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Nazareth joined approximately 6,300 other athletes from 127 colleges, high schools and clubs across the country and abroad to participate in this fund-raising event for Pediatric Sarcoma Research. The event is sponsored by the Carleton College swimming and diving teams of Northfield, Minn. The event is in honor of former Carleton swimmer Ted Mullin, who passed away from synovial sarcoma in September of 2006.

The event is held in each team's home pool and is a one-hour continuous relay. Every participating team, regardless of time zone, participates at the same time meaning thousands of athletes around the world are swimming simultaneously in support of the battle against cancer.

Since the event began four years ago, more than $190,000 has been raised for the Ted Mullin Fund.
