ONEONTA, N.Y. (November 13, 2010) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women’s cross country team finished 28th at the 2010 NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional Cross Country Championships on Saturday.

Sophomore Ashley Princiotta led the Ducks with her time of 24:51 over the 6,000-meter course. She placed 98th out of the 236 runners. Freshman Katie Castroagudin continued her climb up the Stevens leaderboard, finishing second on the team in 26:05. Classmate Kelly Freed was close behind Castroagudin at 26:21.

Freshman Laura Lemke and sophomore Anne Ryan rounded out the Top-5 for Stevens. St. Lawrence University won the team title thanks in large part to senior and defending national champion Wendy Pavlus (Tupper Lake, N.Y.), who won the individual title for the Saints at 21:11. It will be the last meet of the season for the Stevens cross country programs.

The indoor track team will have its first competition December 5 at the Collegiate Track Conference Relays in New Haven, Conn.
