Elmira Selected as Second Seed in 2010 ECAC Division III Metro-Upstate Men’s Soccer Championship

Cape Cod, MA -- After finishing the regular-season with a 12-3-3 record, Drew University was selected as the number one seed in the 2010 ECAC Division III Metro-Upstate Men’s Soccer Championship. The tournament is an eight-team field with quarterfinal, semifinal and championship rounds. In the first round contests on Wednesday, November 10th, No. 1 Drew University (12-3-3) will host No. 8 St. Joseph’s College (11-7-2) at 3:30 p.m. No. 3 Rutgers University Camden (10-8-1) plays No. 6 Fairleigh Dickinson University Florham (9-8-1) at 6:00 p.m. at Rutgers-Camden and No. 4 Rutgers University Newark (10-8-1) will take on No. 5 SUNY Old Westbury (14-9-0) at 7:30 p.m. at Rutgers Newark. On Thursday, November 11th, No. 2 Elmira College (11-5-2) will host No. 7 Baruch College (11-4-2) at 1:30 p.m. The first-round winners will advance to the semifinals on Saturday, November 13th at the highest remaining seed. The winner of Drew-St. Joseph’s will face the winner of Rutgers-Newark--SUNY Old Westbury in one semifinal, and the winner of Rutgers-Camden/FDU-Florham will play the winner of Elmira-Baruch in the other semifinal. The semifinal winners will meet.
