ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Bomber men's and women's soccer teams both earned College Team Academic Awards from the National Collegiate Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Ithaca was one of only 44 Division III programs out of 449 schools whose men's and women's teams both earned the award, which is given to teams who post a cumulative grade-point average of 3.00. Ithaca was the only Empire 8 school to earn the award for both its women's and men's program.

Ithaca's NSCAA Team Academic Award on the men's side was the first for that program. The Bombers' team GPA for the 2009-10 academic year was 74th among the nation's nearly 2,500 soccer programs and the highest in the Empire 8.
