Ithaca Men's Swimming & Diving Wins Don Richards Invitational
Rochester, N.Y. - The Ithaca men's swimming & diving team finished first in a field of six teams at the Don Richards Invitational hosted by RIT. The Bombers finished with 933 points, 41 more than the next closest team.
Ithaca wrapped up the meet with a first-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay as junior Antoine Connors (Spartanburg/Spartanburg, S.C.), sophomore Jake Robbins (Fairport/Fairport), freshman John Carr (Brewster/Brewster) and sophomore Chris Cadwell (C.W. Baker/Baldwinsville) timed in at 3:12.31.
Connors was second in the 50-yard freestyle in 21.60 seconds, and the 400-yard medley relay team finished second in 3:35.71.
Freshman Taylor Van Cott (Bethlehem/Delmar) was third in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:02.69, followed by freshman Connor White (Fox Lane/Pound Ridge) in fourth at 2:02.85.
