Top Five Teams Separated by 18 Shots Heading Into Spring Tournament

ROCHESTER, NY – Moravian College shot a second round-best 306 to move into a tie with St. John Fisher College halfway through the Empire 8 Men's Golf Championship. Moravian will host the third and fourth rounds in April. Seth Hartman of the Greyhounds is the individual leader after rounds of 71 and 77 for a 148 total over the Yahnundasis Golf Club in New Hartford, NY.

St. John Fisher shot a second-round 308 with all four scorers shooting in the 70s, led by Tyler McArdell with a 76. The University of Scranton moved into third place with a 312 behind a 74 frm Jamie Bresnahan.

Elmira College nearly duplicated its opening round score with a 316 to sit in fourth place midway through the championship tournament. Brendan McKee shot a second-round 77 to lead the Soaring Eagles, seven strokes better than his first-round score.

Defending champion Susquehanna University is in fifth place after shooting a 318, one stroke higher than in the first round. Dan Kinney shot a 77, the lowest round of the day for the Crusaders.
