St. John Fisher Finishes First at St. Lawrence Invitational
The St. John Fisher College men’s golf team was the top NCAA finisher at the St. Lawrence University Invitational this weekend. The Cardinals finished with a two-day total of 602 (305-297), six strokes better than the host Saints.
Chris Clapper led the Cardinals with a two-day total of 148 (72-76) and placed fifth overall.
John Gerber (76-75) and Justin Tyo (78-73) each finished tied for 13th with a 151. Tyler McCardell placed 15th overall at 152 (79-73).
Fisher will return to action this weekend with the first two rounds of the Empire 8 Conference Championship. Fisher finished as the runner-up at last season’s Empire 8 Championship.
