Ithaca Ranked EIghth Regionally in USTFCCCA Poll
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Bomber women’s cross country team ranks in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches of America Atlantic-Region poll for the fourth consecutive week. Ithaca ranks eighth in the Sept. 28 poll after a seventh-place ranking a week ago.
The team raced to a second-place finish at Cortland’s Jack Daniels Invitational on Saturday as Junior Heidi Baumbach (Lake Placid/Lake Placid) took all honors in winning her second race of the season and consequently earned her third-consecutive Empire 8 Runner of the Week award. Baumbach placed first in the 58-runner field with a time of 14 minutes, 57 seconds over the four-kilometer course. Ithaca is the only Empire 8 team regionally ranked.
