Ithaca's Oztemel Honored By D3Hoops.com
ITHACA, N.Y. – Sophomore forward Andrei Oztemel (Staples/Westport, Conn.) has been named to D3Hoops.com’s Team of the Week. Oztemel, who was also picked as Empire 8 Player of the Week, averaged a team-best 20.3 points over three outings and was 18-for-27 (66.7 percent) from beyond the arc during the week.
Oztemel was named to the all-tournament team of the Sponaugle New Year’s Tournament after helping the Bombers to victory in the championship game against host No. 13 Franklin & Marshall. He added 13 rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block on the week and went 5-for-5 from the charity stripe as the Bombers also claimed a pair of conference victories.
