Hillary Simon of Nazareth Earns Academic Honors
ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Hillary Simon, who recently completed her senior season as a goalkeeper on the Nazareth College women's soccer team, has been selected to the Scholar All-East Region team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Simon, of Homer, N.Y. and a graduate of Homer High School, was a second-team selection as a biology major who carries a grade-point average of 3.70. As a goalkeeper, Simon was a four-year starter for the Golden Flyers and a two-time first-team Empire 8 Conference all-star.
In 2010, Simon had a 0.66 goals-against average with nine shutouts as the Golden Flyers finished 11-7-2 overall. She completed her career with 24 shutouts. She also is a member of the Golden Flyers' basketball team.
