After trailing the entire game, a good jumper from Jason Norsen forced overtime and led to a 73-66 victory over the hosting Hartwick Hawks for the St. John Fisher College basketball team.

Fisher never led in regulation, as the Hawks maintained the lead until the final 14 seconds when Norsen’s basket tied the game at 58 to send it into the extra stanza.

Brent Harder kicked overtime off with a long shot to give the Cardinals the quick 61-58 lead before the Hawks could answer. Contrary to regulation, though, Fisher led the entire overtime period, never allowing Hartwick to catch up.

Harder led the Cardinals with 23 points, while Jordan Gettings was close behind with 17. Jordan Koch finished with a double-double, recording 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Fisher was outshot during the game, but went 5-for-6 from the charity stripe during overtime to clinch the win.

The Cardinals are now 4-2 in Empire 8 play and 8-7 overall.
