The Wildcats would fight back to tie the game up on two different occasions but the Soaring Eagles would build an 8 point lead with 4:31 left in regulation. The Wildcats would again make a stab at a comeback, bringing the game to within 2 with 1:27 left in the contest. Maria Thannhauser ’14 (Newfield, NY -- Newfield) would nail a three-pointer with just over a minute to play giving Elmira at 5 point lead and Tesia Kaczynski ’11 (Mansfield, PA -- Mansfield) would hit two free-throws down the stretch to seal a 69-64 victory in favor of the Soaring Eagles.
