Utica, N.Y. (1/26/2011) – Four members of the Utica College men’s swim team broke the school’s 400 meter medley relay record last Saturday versus Clarkson. Tyler Evans, Paul Cabrey, Scott Wanner and Brandon DiPasquale teamed up to swim a time of 4:33.29 which broke the previous record of 4:36.78 set back in 2008. The record was previously held by Cabrey, Matt Galbraith, Mike Mottola and Jon Pendergast.

Evans has been the stand-out for the men’s squad in the 50 and 100 freestyle, posting nine individual victories, including four consecutive. Cabrey has four first places, five second and five third place finishes, most of them coming in the 100 breaststroke and 200 IM. Wanner is UC’s main butterflyer and he has three first and four second place finishes. DiPasquale is the teams sprint freestyler, he has one second and five third place finishes on the season.

For Evans this is his second record of the season. He broke the school’s 50 yard freestyle record earlier this year.
