Nazareth Dunks Utica in Women's Swimming

Golden Flyers are 6-3

UTICA, N.Y. -- Sophomore Rachel House finished first for Nazareth in both the 100- and 200-yard breaststrokes Saturday as Nazareth easily defeated host Utica in a women's swimming and diving meet, 207-69. Nazareth also won the men's meet, 162-90.

In the women's meet, Nazareth got contributions from several different swimmers as the Golden Flyers won easily.

Freshman Amanda Rogers won the 200 freestyle (2:09.10) and swam in the 200 medley relay with sophomores Carissa Risucci and McKenna Murphy and junior Rachael Phipps.

Risucci also won the 100 butterfly (1:05.45) while Phipps won the 50 free (:25.43) and was part of the 400 free relay team that included freshman Emily Sauter, junior Rachel Hayes and junior Jaclyn Conklin.

Other winners were Hayes in the 1,000 freestyle (11:44.46); Sauter in the 100 backstroke (1:06.45); House in the 100 (1:15.47) and 200 breastroke (2:43.34); sophomore Kelley Anzalone in the 200 fly (2:31.58); Conklin in the 100 freestyle (:57.43); senior Kristen Pedrotti in the 200 backstroke; freshman Maura Reissig in the 500 freestyle (5:35.03) and junior Ashley Palmer in the 200 IM (2:30.28).
