Season-Bests Help Bombers to Fifth-Place Finish at Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble

Oberlin, Ohio – The Ithaca men’s cross country team ran to a fifth-place finish out of 34 teams on Saturday at Oberlin’s Inter-Regional Rumble.

Junior Nathan Bickell (Annapolis/Annapolis, Md.) placed 12th in the 315-runner field with an eight-kilometer, season-best performance of 26:07.80, while senior Dan Craighead (Ithaca/Ithaca) followed in 18th with another season-best performance. He finished the race in 26:19.40.

Junior David Geary (Brighton/Rochester) placed 40th overall with a season-best of 26:46.40 and classmate Mark Vorensky (Metuchen/Metuchen, N.J.) followed in 56th place in what proved to be another season-best time of 26:58.20.

Junior Billy Savage (Indian Hills/Oakland, N.J.) clocked his season-best 8K time of 27:36.80 to finish 106th. Freshman Dennis Ryan (Coventry/Coventry, R.I.) and senior Jacob Brower (Downers Grove North/Downers Grove, Ill.) closed out the Bombers’ top-seven with 157th and 166th places, respectively. Ryan finished the race in 28:08.00 and Brower in 28:14.00.
