St. John Fisher Volleyball Goes 3-1 at Fredonia Tournament

The St. John Fisher College volleyball team went 3-1 at the Fredonia Tournament this past weekend. Fisher won its matches against Buffalo State and Mount Aloysius on Friday and split its matches on Saturday, losing to Capital but defeating SUNY Oneonta. After the weekend the Cardinals sit well above .500 with a 13-7 record.

Both matches on Saturday went the five-game distance, the Cardinals finally succumbing to Capital in the first match of the day, but withstanding the pressure from Oneonta to win 15-12 in the last game.

In the Oneonta match Rachael Kline and Paige Wilson both led FIsher with 11 kills, with Wilson adding four digs. Kelsey Osborne led the Cardinals with 24 digs while Amanda Pinak added 18 and Becca Smith had 16 as well. Amy street had a team-high 35 assists and filled the stat sheet with 11 digs, four kills, a block assist and a service ace.
