The St. John Fisher College women’s soccer on Sunday afternoon at Growney Stadium. Fisher dominated the entire game, improving to 4-5 on the season.  The Terriers fall to 3-4-1 on the 2011 campaign.

Chelsea Oberkrieser opened the scoring in the third minute of play, speeding by her defenders and beating the goalie one-on-one for her third goal of the season. Fisher outshot Hiram 12-2 in the first half, including five on goal, but only found the net once.

The Cardinals came out firing in the second half, led by the Burgstrom sisters attack on the goal. Katherine Burgstrom scored in the 50th minute when she collected her own blocked shot and put it past the keeper. Laura Burgstrom would not be outdone by her sister, taking a direct free kick in the 72nd minute, putting it high and out of reach of the goalie for her second goal of the season.

Krista Pilla led the Cardinals with four shots.  Fisher goalkeeper Jessica Plukas was not tested in the contest.
