St. John Fisher Women's Golf Finishes in 7th in Rain Shortened Tournament
The St. John Fisher College women’s golf team finished in seventh place out of 11 teams at the Martin & Wallace Invitational in Cortland, NY. Fisher shot a team score of 380 over the weekend.
Alex Battle finished tied for seventh place with a total score of 82, shooting a consistent 41 in both rounds. Finishing with the second-best score for the Cardinals was Ceilia Fitzgerald, who shot a 91 in her two rounds, good for a tie for 22nd place. Also finishing in the top 40 was Katie Joslyn who tied for 39th place with a two round total of 99.
The second day of the invitational was canceled due to poor weather.
Fisher will return to action next weekend when it plays in the ECAC Tournament at Midvale Country Club in Penfield.
