Nazareth dominates Pitt-Bradford
BRADFORD, Pa. -- Visiting Nazareth dominated Pitt-Bradford in a women's swimming and diving meet Saturday as the Golden Flyers won 12 of 14 events in 170-60 victory. Pitt-Bradford won the men's meet, 157-105.
In the women's meet, sophomore Emily Sauter was part of three winning events and senior Rachael Phipps won two, including a pool-record swim in the 100-yard freestyle (:55.94). She also won the 200 IM (2:24.68). Sauter won the 200 freestyle (2:07.44) and was in two winning relays -- the 200 medley (2:01.13) with Brittany Friedrich, Amanda Rogers and Jaclyn Conklin and the 400 free (4:05.62) with Chelsea Vosburgh, Annie Talarico and Ashley McDonald.
Junior Rachael House also won both backstroke events, swimming 1:09.15 in the 100 and 2:28.09 in the 200. Other winners were Conklin in the 1,000 freestyle (11:28.33); McKenna Murphy in the 100 breaststroke (1:17.46); Ashley Palmer in the 200 butterfly (2:36.39); Friedrich in the 200 breaststroke (2:45.39) and Kristen Bondi in the 500 freestyle (5:49.51).
