Hawks Fight Back in Second Half to Earn 64-62 Win Over Nazareth
ONEONTA, NY - Hartwick battled back from a 12-point second-half deficit to drop Nazareth College 64-62 on Saturday afternoon at Lambros Arena. With the win, the Hawks improve to 8-13 overall and 5-8 in the Empire 8 Conference.
Freshman Maria Foglia (Rensselaer, NY/Catholic Central) scored 17 of her career-high 23 points in the second half to key the comeback, including a go-ahead three-pointer with 1:01 left in the game. She added six rebounds and hit 13-of-14 from the free-throw line.
Kate Purcell (Buffalo, NY/Mount Mercy Acad.) and Kate Veit (Easthampton, MA/Holyoke Catholic) each added 11 points for Hartwick.
