ITHACA, N.Y. -- The women's basketball team (18-5, 14-0 Empire 8) won its 12th straight Tuesday, outscoring visiting Rochester Institute of Technology (5-18, 3-11 Empire 8) 69-51.

Senior guard Jordan Confessore (South Brunswick/Kendall Park, N.J.) made seven of her eight shots off the bench, finishing with a team-leading 15 points in just 16 minutes. She added four rebounds and two assists. Senior forward Elissa Klie (Ramapo/Wyckoff, N.J.) added 13 points, nine rebounds, seven steals, six assists and two blocked shots.

All 14 players on Ithaca's roster played with only one Bomber playing more than 23 minutes in the laugher. Freshman forward Jennifer Escobido (Norwich Free Academy/Lisbon, Conn.) collected 14 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals.

The win raised the Bombers' all-time series record against RIT to 44-2 (they've won 36 of the last 37 meetings with the Tigers) and extended Ithaca's Empire 8-record winning streak to 32 conference games. That stretch includes last year's 16-0 record, which marked the first 16-0 Empire 8 record in any sport. The Bombers have a chance to match that accomplishment when they close their regular season at Hartwick and Stevens this weekend.

The Bombers never trailed in the win, jumping out to a 10-2 lead while holding RIT to one basket over the game's first 6:29. After the Tigers used a pair of baskets to pull to within 27-22 with 3:28 left in the first half, Ithaca closed the opening period with an 11-2 run and never led by less than 13 points after intermission.

Sophomore center Devin Shea (St. Basil Academy/Huntingdon Valley, Pa.) returned to the line-up after a three-game absence and recorded six points and five assists. She helped Ithaca's defense hold the league's seventh-leading scorer to just one basket in 33 minutes.

Freshman guards Kathryn Campbell (Wall/Spring Lake, N.J.) and Elisabeth Wentlent (Greene/Greene) fadded respective totals of five rebounds and four assists and a career-best six rebounds.

Klie raised her career totals to 265 steals (third on Ithaca's all-time list), 110 blocks (fourth), 232 assists (eighth) and 586 rebounds (ninth).
