Nazareth chipped away at the lead, cutting it down to nine points at 47-36 with 7:27 left, but the Cardinals went on a 10-2 run over the next five minutes to pull away.

The Cardinals used a tough man-to-man defense to force the Golden Flyers to shoot just 30.0% from the floor, while Fisher shot 38.8%.  Fisher also enjoyed a 39-30 advantage on the boards.

Fisher’s Meghan Soja and Colleen Maloney each scored 14 points.  Maloney also added four steals and three blocks, while Soja ripped down six boards.

Stephanie Sweeney totaled eight points, five steals and three assists, while Kristi Jeffres also scored eight.

Fisher will return to action on Friday, February 25th in the semifinals of the Empire 8 Conference Championship.  The Cardinals will be either the No. 2 or No. 3 seed in the tournament.
