ITHACA, N.Y. - Ithaca senior women's swimmer Sheila Rhoades (Dryden/Dryden) earned the CollegeSwimming.com Division III Women National Collegiate Swimmer-of-the-Week recognition following her performance at the Upper New York State Collegiate Swimming Association and Empire 8 championship meets.

Rhoades earned individual event victories in the 50- and 200-yard freestyle and was part of three relays that earned Empire 8 runner-up and All-UNYSCSA status. Her time of 23.29 seconds in the finals of the 50 free met the NCAA A qualifying standard and established a championship-meet record. Rhoades was named Swimmer of the Meet by the Empire 8 for the second year in a row and shared UNYSCSA Swimmer of the Meet honors. Her efforts helped Ithaca win both championships.

Rhoades was previously honored as national swimmer of the week by CollegeSwimming.com for the week ending Jan.23.
