Nazareth Wins Again in Tennis

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth won its fifth straight men's tennis match Tuesday as the host Golden Flyers dominated St. John Fisher in an Empire 8 Conference match, 7-2.

The Golden Flyers remained unbeaten in E8 matches at 5-0. Nazareth is 8-7 overall. Fisher dropped to 3-3 in confefrence play and 4-10 overall.

Nazareth swept the three doubles matches to set an early tone. Nazareth's #1 team of Bret Beaver and Ryan McCormick won 8-3. At #2, senior Adam Landry and sophomore Jeremy Mancus won 8-2. At #3, freshman Erik Manske and junior Tom Wood won 8-4.

In singles action, Nazareth cashed in on the first four spots with McCormick, Mancus and Landry winning in straight sets and Beaver winning by default at No. 2.
