St. John Fisher Baseball Runs Past Rochester
The St. John Fisher College baseball team moved to 17-6 on the year with an 11-3 win over host University of Rochester on Friday afternoon.
Freshman pitcher Justin D’Amato raised his record to 7-1 on the year. The lefty went seven innings with nine strikeouts, while allowing five hits and three runs.
Fisher scored two in the first inning, three in the second and pushed its lead to 10-1 going into the sixth inning.
Seniors Leo Fusilli and Ross Langevin each drove in two runs on three hits. Freshman Chris Roeder walked three times, scored three runs and stole three bases. Sean Osterman swiped two bags, as the Cardinals stole nine bases on the day.
Ben Bostick had a two-run single, while freshman Brad Rush went 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
Fisher, currently ranked 27th in the latest ABCA poll, returns to action on Sunday at Cazenovia College.
