Ithaca Men's T&F Distance Runners Hit Three ECAC Qualifiers at Princeton
Princeton, N.J. – Six distance runners represented the Ithaca men’s track & field team at Princeton’s Sam Howell Memorial Invitational on Friday night.
Junior Daniel Craighead (Ithaca/Ithaca) hit the ECAC qualifier in the 10,000-meter run with a 32:24.06 finish, graduate student William Way (Cheltenham/Glensdale, Pa.) qualified in the 5,000 with a time of 15:13.80 in the 5,000 and sophomore David Geary (Brighton/Rochester) hit the ECAC standard in the 1,500 run crossing the finish line in 4:01.36.
Senior John Davis (Salem/Salem, Mass.) competed in the 5K hitting the NYSCTC “A” standard with a 15:26.52 finish. Sophomore Nate Bickell (Annapolis/Annapolis, Md.) also clocked an “A” qualifier with a 4:04.00 finish in the 1,500, while junior Brian McCormick (Minnechaug/Wilbraham, Mass.) narrowly missed the “A” standard, but surpassed the “B” state qualifier in the same race with a time of 4:05.31.
