Ithaca Men's Tennis Downs St. John Fisher
Ithaca, N.Y. - The Ithaca men's tennis team (8-5, 6-0 Empire 8) remained unbeaten in Empire 8 play with an 8-1 win over St. John Fisher (5-13, 3-5 Empire 8) Wednesday afternoon at Reis Tennis Center. The match was moved off campus due to the possibility of thunderstorms in the afternoon, but the weather cooperated and all nine matches were contested outdoors under sunny skies.
Only one of the matches was stretched to a third set, and Ithaca has now outscored conference foes 48-6 in conference matches. The Bombers continue conference play with a 4 p.m. match Friday at home against Nazareth.
