Ithaca Ranked Fourth in the New York Region by NCAA Committee
Indianapolis, Ind. – The Ithaca women’s lacrosse team (9-4, 6-1 Empire 8) is ranked fourth in the NCAA New York Region rankings. The April 20 regional rankings are based on the same criteria used to select and rank teams for the NCAA playoffs.
Junior Nicole Borisenok (Albany Academy for Girls/Watervliet) leads the Bombers with 39 goals and 11 assists and sophomore Tracy Rivas (East Meadow/East Meadow) adds 32 scores and 11 assists. Senior Abby Peterson (Mount Mansfield Union/Underhill, Vt.) has team-bests of 28 ground balls and 15 forced turnovers, while junior Siobhan Sullivan (Franklin/Franklin, Mass.) leads the squad with 32 draw controls. Rivas adds 31.
Sophomore Jess Worthman (Hauppauge/Commack) is 9-4 in goal having stopped 106 shots for a save percentage of 46.7.
