Ithaca answered two early Elmira runs with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first on an RBI double by senior Britt Lillie (Honeoye Falls-Lima/Mendon) and a double steal. The winning run came in the bottom of the second when senior Allison Greaney (John F. Kennedy/Iselin, N.J.) led off with a single, stole two bases, and scored on a wild pitch. Greaney helped make that run stand up by pitching into the fifth inning, when the weather delay struck on Tuesday afternoon.

When play resumed Thursday, treshman Jillian Olmstead (Caesar Rodney/Magnolia, Del.) finished the last two and two-thirds innings to earn the save. Greaney scattered nine hits in four and a third and earned her seventh win of the year.
