St. John Fisher Men's Lacrosse Brings Home Win over Utica

The St. John Fisher men’s lacrosse team earned a 16-6 win over the hosting Utica College Pioneers on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

With the win, Fisher improves to 11-4 overall, 3-4 in the Empire 8.

The first quarter was low-scoring, with Fisher putting three in the back of the net and the Pioneers tallying two, but the Cardinals pulled away, outscoring Utica 8-1 in the second to take an 11-4 lead into half time. Fisher tacked on five more goals to Utica’s three in the final half.

Fifteen Cardinals recorded at least one point in the win. Connor Henderson recorded a team-best four points on three goals and one assist, while Mitch Ritchie added one goal and two assists for three points.

Erich Rassow led Fisher from the X, going 18-for-19 in faceoffs.
