Ithaca Men's Tennis Opens E8 Play With Victory
ITHACA, N.Y. - The Ithaca men's tennis team (3-3, 1-0 Empire 8) began conference play with a 7-2 victory at Elmira (2-3, 0-2 Empire 8). Ithaca swept the three doubles matches and won four of six singles matches. The Bombers host RIT Thursday at 4 p.m.
Ithaca is ranked 17th in the Northeast Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, and the first doubles team of Josh Rifkin (Homestead/Fort Wayne, Ind.) and Jimmy Newton (Florida Virtual School/Englewood, Fla.) are ranked third and started the day with a win.
