Ithaca Men's Cross Country Team Tops Competition at Oswego Invitational

Oswego, N.Y. – The Ithaca men’s cross country team ran to a first-place finish out of 12 teams on Saturday at the Oswego Invitational 8,000-meter run. The Bombers placed four in the top 10.

Junior Nathan Bickell (Annapolis/Annapolis, Md.) was the Bombers’ top finisher in fourth place with a time of 27:06.77. Right behind him in fifth was junior David Geary (Brighton/Rochester) and in sixth senior Dan Craighead (Ithaca/Ithaca). Geary crossed the finish line in 27:07.11 and Craighead in 27:07.46.

Freshman Dennis Ryan (Coventry/Coventry, R.I.) clocked a 27:27.13 10th-place finish during his first collegiate race, while junior Mark Vorensky (Metuchen/Metuchen, N.J.) followed in 11th with a time of 27:28.59.

Seniors Jacob Brower (Downers Grove North/Downers Grove, Ill.) and Tyler Murray (LeRoy/LeRoy) rounded out Ithaca’s top seven. Brower finished 18th in 27:55.72 and Murray 25th in 28:21.73.
