The St. John Fisher College women's soccer team outlasted Centenary College 1-0 in a game that lasted 3:09 due to multiple delays on Sunday afternoon at Growney Stadium. Fisher earned its first victory of the 2011 season, improving its record to 1-2.

The Cardinals dominated in shots, out-shooting the Cyclones 20-2 in the game. Even with the discrepancy in shots, Fisher was only able to find the back of the net, despite many close efforts.

Chelsea Oberkrieser shot a rocket towards the keeper which ricocheted off of her and found Amanda Konieczny sliding through the box to knock the shot in for Fisher's only goal.

There were three separate 30 minute delays in the game on Sunday, two due to the weather system that brought some thunder and lightning into the area. The first delay came from an injury to a Centenary defender.

Alyssa Hackelberg (Randolph,Randolph, NJ) recorded 10 saves on the afternoon for the Cyclones while Fisher keeper Jessica Plukas saved the only shot she saw on goal.
