The St. John Fisher College women's soccer team defeated the SUNY Fredonia Blue Devils 2-0 on Tuesday night at Growney Stadium.  With the win, Fisher improves to 2-2 on the season, while Fredonia falls to 2-3.

After a scoreless first half and a 30 minute rain delay, Vicki Alfieri opened the scoring for Fisher in the 51st minute.  Krista Pilla sent a long cross into the box, when Chelsea Oberkrieser dished to a wide open Alfieri for the score.

Just ten minutes later, Pilla found Oberkrieser again, who this time kept the ball and netted one past Fredonia netminder Kayleigh Forger.

Fredonia looked to add a goal in the 67th minute, but Fisher goalkeeper Noel Peck made two outstanding saves to preserve the shutout.  Peck finished with seven saves on the night to improve to 1-2, while Forger recorded six saves and falls to 0-1.
