MADISON, N.J. (September 16, 2011) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women’s soccer team used three unassisted goals, two in the first half and one in the second, to top hosting Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham, 3-0 on Friday. The Ducks are now 4-2-1 on the season.

Although the Ducks were outshot in the contest, 17-9, Stevens made the most of its opportunities and put eight of the nine shots on goal, including the three goals. The Ducks were also out done in corners, 6-1, but neither seemed to phase the team.

Freshman Ann Heine tallied both first half goals for the Ducks to increase her team-leading markers to three. Heine netted the first goal 30:18 into the opening 45 minutes then tallied her second just 2-minutes, 38-seconds later.

Coming out of halftime, Stevens did not want the Devils to crawl back into the match and put the game out of reach with a goal by sophomore Kyle Stephens just 3 minutes, 57 seconds into the second half.

Stevens senior Kaitlin McClymont picked up her second straight victory and stopped a game-high seven shots in all 90 minutes of action. McClymont has only surrendered three goals this season in just over 439 minutes of action for a 0.61 goals against average.
