Ithaca Women's Tennis Shuts Out Another Conference Foe
Alfred, N.Y. - The Ithaca women's tennis team (3-0, 3-0 Empire 8) went on the road for the first time in dual-match competition this season and posted a 9-0 shutout of Alfred (2-6, 0-5 Empire 8) Tuesday evening. The Bombers will compete again Thursday afternoon in a home dual match against Cortland beginning at 4 p.m.
The Bombers have won all three of their conference duals by 9-0 scores this season, and have won 54 consecutive duals against conference opposition in regular-season and postseason competitions.
Freshman Hannah Worthley (South Burlington/South Burlington/Vt.) earned her first career collegiate victory with a 6-0, 6-3 win at sixth singles.
