St. John Fisher Takes First Conference Match at Empire 8 Crossover
The St. John Fisher College volleyball team won its first match of the Empire 8 Crossover against Hartwick 3-0 in Elmira. With the win the Cardinals move to 9-3 on the season and are 1-0 in the conference.
Fisher was led by Becca Smith’s 15 digs and nine kills, which were team-highs for both categories. Rachael Kline had nine kills for the Cardinals, while Mandi Mereness added seven kills. Senior setter Amanda Pinak finished with 10 digs and six kills while classmate Amy Street finished with a team-high 23 assists.
