Ithaca Women's Golf Team Stands Tied for Sixth at Highly-Competitive Event

South Hadley, Mass. - The Ithaca women's golf team stands tied for sixth in a field of 15 teams following the opening round of the Mount Holyoke Invitational. Ithaca scored 342 in the opening round at The Orchards, which played to 5,845 yards and a par-72.

Bomber freshman Kelsey Baker (Hopkinton/Hopkinton, Mass.) led Ithaca with a career-best score of 80 in the first round and ranks ninth overall in a field of 78 players. Classmate Sharon Li (Hong Kong International/Happy Valley, Hong Kong) posted 83 and is tied for 19th overall. Ithaca's sophomore Amanda Failla (Farmington/Unionville, Conn.) was third on the team with a season-best score of 87.

Sunday's second round will being with Ithaca trailing Vassar by seven strokes and tied with Merrimack.
