Rob Randall to be Inducted Into Local Hall of Fame

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Veteran Nazareth men's lacrosse coach Rob Randall has been selected for induction into the US Lacrosse Greater Rochester Chapter Hall of Fame. Randall will be part of a four-person induction ceremony Nov. 4 at the Burgundy Basin Inn.

A native of Rochester, Randall has coached at Nazareth for 11 seasons and compiled a record of 138-48 with seven NCAA Tournament appearances and six Empire 8 Conference titles. He has been chosen E8 Coach of the Year four times (2001, 2003, 2007, 2009). In 2004, he guided the Golden Flyers to the NCAA Division III championship game in Baltimore. His 2004 team set a school record with 16 victories, a number that was duplicated in 2007. He also has been selected to coach in the North-South Senior All-Star Game.

Randall was a scholastic standout as a player at Irondequoit High School, then went on to earn junior college All-America honors at Herkimer County Community College before finishing his career at Nazareth in 1987.

After earning his undergraduate degree at Nazareth in Sociology, he stayed on as an assistant coach for three seasons and was on the staff in 1992 when the Golden Flyers won their first of three national titles. He went on to become head coach at Sacred Heart University for four seasons and then served as an assistant for three seasons at the United States Military Academy at West Point. After one season at Geneseo (2000), he landed at Nazareth in 2001.

In addition to coaching lacrosse at Nazareth, Randall oversees game management operations during the fall and winter seasons. During the summer, he operates the popular Nazareth College Lacrosse Camp. He resides in Rochester with his wife Barb; daughter Carly and son Brett.

Other inductees on Nov. 4 are Jeanne DelSignore, Peter Lasagna and Shawn Nadelen.
