St. John Fisher Men's Cross Country Wins Houghton Invitational

The St. John Fisher College men's cross country team finished first at the Houghon College Short Course Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

The Cardinals, competing in their first meet in nearly 10 years, finished with 36 points, beating out runner-up Roberts Wesleyan College by three points.

Fisher's Cohen Miles-Rath finished second out of 37 runners, averaging 5:13 per mile and completed the 5K race in 16:11.

A pack of Fisher runners -- Matt Herbert, Sean Morgan and Evan Magnussen -- placed sixth, seventh and eighth, respectively.  Freshman Kevin Jablonski sealed the win by locking up 13th place with a time of 18:02.
