ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Ithaca College women's basketball team (14-3, 6-0 Empire 8) forced 25 turnovers on its way to a 68-38 win over visiting Alfred (7-9, 0-6 Empire 8) Saturday.

Ithaca forced 25 turnovers, scoring 27 points off those miscues, and held Alfred scoreless for a stretch of 14 straight possessions during a 21-0 run. The Bombers' win was their 35th straight over the Saxons -- extending their longest winning streak over any opponent -- and raised their all-time record against Alfred to 45-4.

Sophomore guard Kathryn Campbell (Wall/Wall, N.J.) scored a game-high 16 points and added five rebounds and five assists. Sophomore forward Jenn Escobido (Norwich Free Academy/Lisbon, Conn.) added 10 points, six rebounds and three assists.

Freshman forward Geena Brady (Onondoga Central/Syracuse) matched a career high with seven points. Junior forward Elizabeth Conti (Algonquin Regional/Southborough, Mass.) added seven and senior guard Jess Farley (Pine Valley Central/South Dayton) contributed seven points, four assists and two of Ithaca's 16 steals in just 18 minutes of play.

Freshman guard Ally Mnich (Holmdle/Holmdel, N.J.) matched Escobido for the team lead with six rebounds and scored a career-high five points.

An Alfred basket with just under seven minutes left in the opening half pulled the Saxons to within 20-16 but they didn't score again until two minutes into the second period. Ithaca took a 36-20 lead into the locker room (scoring the last 16 points) and added the first five points after intermission.

Alfred is the sixth opponent this year to be held under 50 points and the 67th since Dan Raymond became Bomber coach (Ithaca is 66-1 in those games). The Bombers are now 37-1 in Empire 8 games since the start of the 2009-10 season.
